Despite the "iron curtain" they were real music experts (new wave). In '84 they met Dragan (guitar) & they started to play as DDT.
The musicians they liked the most were Flash & the pan, Echo & the Bunnymen, Television, the Sound, Tuxedo moon and "the master" Brian ENO. Under the name E-met, the band started in january '88 (after a year of terrible experience with YU army), when DDT met Emilian - a pretty good drummer without drums.
After 3 months of writing songs & rehersals, Dean decided to left, so the band found another bass player Zare Mulej (no photos available). Two months later they had their first concert with 5 other bands. Musicians were surprised - they've never heard that kind of music played by "yugoslaves".
The band used to play only their music cause there were a lot of bands shitting around with covers, thinking they were great artists... All words for songs wrote Tomi (also called pink punker or green motorin or psycho killer - cause of his incorrigible drinking and discussing with people). He wrote several music all by himself, but the best "pieces" were those made with Dragan who also wrote some songs by himself. Their guitars sound (Gibson&Fender) became a kind of secret recognition of the band. In summer of '88 they made their first studio recordings (8 track).
Soon the drummer left, another tried (3 days), and another, and another, ... Branko stayed for 3 months but he left when bass player went to prison. Fuck - Dragan & Tomi were alone again. Then Dean decided to retur and they took Boris Bestjak (called the beast), a young drummer who at that time used to play with "Jolanda zweite", some kind of experimental-half-punk band. It was a good cast! They entered the studio again (spring '89) and decided to try with a keyboard player. Peter Jovanovsky played Korg for few months and they recorded 4 more songs.

But ... the YU army fucked them again ... Boris the beast left for a year ...
Edi Petrovich - very young
jazzy drummer took his place, but after two months, in early summer of 1990
Dragan lost his will and decided to left.
Between 1990 & 96 the band members were involved in democratic-capitalistic-transition. Edi started with a big band, Boris played with several groups, Peter went to university, Dean had become a bussiness man, Dragan and Tomi tried to make some money together with Dean, but they failed, so in 93 they went to the Russian federation. First Ucraina, then Moscow. It took 11 months for Tomi to get totaly ruined by alcohol (famous russian vodka) so he landed in psychiatric hospital for 4 months. After that Dean practically disappeared (bankrupt), Dragan divorced (he stayed in Ucraine for nearly 3 years), Tomi became a non drinking citizien.
In '96 Dragan & Boris convinced Tomi to join a rehersal.
A few days later Tomi met Veldin Brechevich an unimployed heavy metal bass
player with rich drug past. So E-met started again.
